Most of us take Advantage of People’s Weaknesses; we should all learn from Spanish Runner Ivan Fernandez

Kenyan runner Abel Mutai was only a few meters from the finish line in the December 2012 cross-country race at Burlada, Navarre, Spain, but got confused with the signs and stopped, thinking he had finished the race. A Spanish man, Ivan Fernandez Anaya, was right behind him and, realising what was going on, started shouting to the Kenyan to keep running. Mutai did not know Spanish and did not understand.

Realising what was going on, Fernandez pushed Mutai to victory.

A reporter asked Ivan, “Why did you do this?” Ivan replied, “My dream is that one day we can have some sort of community life where we push ourselves and also others to win.”

The reporter insisted “But why did you let the Kenyan win❓” Ivan replied, “I didn’t let him win, he was going to win. The race was his.”

The reporter insisted and asked again, “But you could have won!” Ivan looked at him and replied: “But what would be the merit of my victory❓ What would be the honour of this medal? What would my Mother think of it❓” The values are transmitted from generation to generation. What values do we teach our children and how much do you inspire others to earn❓ Most of us take advantage of people’s weaknesses instead of helping to strengthen them.

Rest of the World should learn from Ivan❗

Did you know OVERTHINKING is Slowly KILLING you? See how

Overthinking means to think too much about (something): to put too much time into thinking about or analyzing (something) in a way that is more harmful than helpful.

Overthinkers may have trouble distinguishing between the fear of making a mistake, which leads to overthinking to the point where they make no decision, and a deep feeling that something is wrong.

Knowing if fear or intuition is guiding your behavior will help you get out of your head and take the next necessary steps.

SIGNS THAT YOU OVERTHINK

▶️Difficulty following along with and contributing to a conversation because you go over potential responses or statements time and again until the conversation has either ended or the window of opportunity for speaking was lost

▶️Continually comparing yourself to the people around you and how you measure up to them

▶️Focusing on worst-case scenarios either involving yourself or the ones you love

▶️Reliving past failures or mistakes over and over again and you’re unable to move past them

▶️Worrying about future tasks and/or goals until they feel almost impossible to accomplish

▶️Reliving a past traumatic experience (such as abuse or the loss of a loved one) leaving you unable to cope with it

▶️An inability to slow down the racing of vague thoughts, worries or emotions

HOW TO OVERCOME OVERTHINKING

➡️Don’t think of what can go wrong, but what can go right.

➡️Distract yourself into happiness. Meditate of positive outcome.

➡️Stop waiting for perfection.

➡️Accept your best. Celebrate your little wins

➡️Know you are a work in progress, you are not above making mistake.

➡️Be grateful for what you have as you wait for what you are expecting

Stop overthinking and act now.

Don’t ARGUE with DONKEYS

The donkey said to the tiger:
– “The grass is blue”.

The tiger replied:
– “No, the grass is green.”

The discussion heated up, and the two decided to submit him to arbitration, and for this they went before the lion, the King of the Jungle.

Already before reaching the forest clearing, where the lion was sitting on his throne, the donkey began to shout:
– “His Highness, is it true that the grass is blue?”.

The lion replied:
– “True, the grass is blue.”

The donkey hurried and continued:
– “The tiger disagrees with me and contradicts and annoys me, please punish him.”

The king then declared:
– “The tiger will be punished with 5 years of silence.”

The donkey jumped cheerfully and went on his way, content and repeating:
– “The Grass Is Blue”…

The tiger accepted his punishment, but before he asked the lion:
– “Your Majesty, why have you punished me?, after all, the grass is green.”

The lion replied:
– “In fact, the grass is green.”

The tiger asked:
– “So why are you punishing me?”.

The lion replied:
– “That has nothing to do with the question of whether the grass is blue or green. The punishment is because it is not possible for a brave and intelligent creature like you to waste time arguing with a donkey, and on top of that come and bother me with that question.”

The worst waste of time is arguing with the fool and fanatic who does not care about truth or reality, but only the victory of his beliefs and illusions. Never waste time on arguments that don’t make sense… There are people who, no matter how much evidence and evidence we present to them, are not in the capacity to understand, and others are blinded by ego, hatred and resentment, and all they want is to be right even if they are not.

When ignorance screams, intelligence is silent. Your peace and quiet are worth more.
