After a decade of arrests, court proceedings and extradition, Abu Hamza has been sentenced to two life sentences and between five and 19 years by a US federal court.
Hamza, 56, was sentenced in New York under his full name, Mustafa Kamel Mustafa, after being found guilty in May of aiding the terrorists who kidnapped tourists in Yemen and of helping others plot to open a terror training camp in Oregon.
The Telegraph reported that U.S. District Judge Katherine Forrest told Hamza in court: ‘I don’t believe that the world would be a safe place with you in 10 years or 20 years.’
He is set to serve out his sentence at the ‘supermax’ federal prison in Colorado where America’s most dangerous terrorists are held.
