Emi Martinez has been pretty impressive at Arsenal (Picture: Supplied by http://www.oulala.com)
Most Arsenal fans were seriously worried when Wojciech Szczesny joined David Ospina on the injury list, leaving rookie Emiliano Martinez as the club’s only fit professional goalkeeper.
But the 22-year-old has since thrived between the sticks, making a number of good saves and looking solid in the few games we’ve seen him in so far.
And the stats show that, despite making just three Premier League appearances, Martinez is better than Szczesny in a host of different factors.
Martinez averages more catches, punches and saves per match than Szczesny and while it is early doors, he’s showing all the signs of stardom.
Perhaps it’s time to stick with him, despite Szczesny returning this weekend?
