Lionel Messi may have broken the record for the all-time number of goals scored in La Liga following his hat-trick against Sevilla, but it’s far from the first record the Barcelona star has sent tumbling.

He’s only 27 yet Messi has an incredible collection of achievements already in his career on a personal level alone.

Not only is the Argentine the Spanish league’s greatest ever goalscorer with 253 goals in 288 appearances, he is also Barcelona’s all-time top scorer – an accolade he clinched earlier this season.

He has also notched up the most goals in a calendar year (91), has the most Ballon d’Or awards (4) and has the most goals in El Clasico (21).
